BOOK REVIEW EDITOR – Call for Expressions of Interest in Position of Book Reviews Editor(s)

Journal of Religious History: Call for Expressions of Interest in Position of Book Reviews Editor(s)

The Journal of Religious History is seeking expressions of interest for the role of book reviews editor. The book reviews editor works with the journal editors (Dr Kriston Rennie and Dr Laura Rademaker) to liaise with publishers, commission appropriate reviewers, and select and edit reviews for inclusion in the journal. The position will be vacant for the upcoming issue of the journal as Dr Ian Tregenza is stepping down following more than three years of service in this role. The JRH is published by Wiley and engages an Editorial Assistant (Anna Haunton) to work on practical matters relating to the journal, including book reviewing in particular, as well as benefiting from Wiley staff in Singapore.

Applications are invited from candidates with expertise in the field of religious history who have experience in reviewing and writing for academic journals. The new term is for three years, with potential for renewal for a second three-year term, if so desired. The position could be shared by scholars in the field with complementary expertise and networks. The book reviews editor’s position is not remunerated.

If you are interested in finding out more about this position, please contact Prof. Constant Mews ([email protected]), President of the RHA.

Applications (a letter and a brief CV) close at 5pm on Friday 12 February 2021.

Prof Constant Mews FAHA
President of the Religious History Association (owner of the Journal of Religious History).
