The Religious History Association expresses sadness and shock at the anti-Semitic attack at Bondi Beach on December 14, 2025. Our thoughts are with the
victims and their families, with the wider Jewish community, and with all those
impacted by this event.
As an organisation devoted to promoting the scholarly study of religion and its
historical impacts, the Religious History Association deplores all forms of
violence, prejudice and hatred, including anti-Semitism. We condemn this act
of terror unequivocally.
The Religious History Association affirms its commitment to respect, to peace,
and to our common humanity.
We support efforts to ensure the safety of all members of Australia’s diverse
community through dialogue, education and compassion. We stand in solidarity
with the Jewish community at this time of grief.
