AGM – 14 November 2011
Dear RHA members and Friends,
The Annual General Meeting of the Religious History Association was held at Macquarie University on Monday 14 November. Minutes of the meeting prepared by Secretary Stuart Piggin are attached to this message. I am delighted to announce that Prof. Edwin Judge has been elected a Fellow of the Religious History Association. A profile will soon appear on the RHA website. Secondly, Professor Nancy van Deusen of Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada has won the Bruce Mansfield Prize for her article, “Reading the Body: Mystical Theology and Spiritual Actualisation in Early Seventeenth-Century Lima,” Journal of Religious History 33.1 (March 2009): 1-27. The Bruce Mansfield Prize is named for the founing Editor of the Journal of Religious History and is awarded for the best article published in the journal in 2009 and 2010. Congratulations to both Prof. Judge and Prof. Deusen for these achievements.
