CFP: CHRISTIANS AND THE NON-CHRISTIAN OTHER
A CIHEC conference in Vilnius, Lithuania, 6-8 June 2013
The Lithuanian national commission of CIHEC will organize a conference with the theme ‘Christians and the non-Christian other’. The theme was selected at the meeting of the CIHEC bureau in Tartu last summer in order to offer the chance for scholars of different periods to investigate the relations between Christians and those who are not Christians in different ages, contexts and conditions. This can mean the interplay between Christians and pagans, Christians and representatives of other religions, Christians and atheists; peaceful coexistence, dialogue, conflict etc.
The conference will start at 10 AM on Thursday, 6 June and be held at the Lithuanian Catholic Academy of Science in Vilnius. Address: Pilies g. 8, LT-01123.

Proposals for papers should be sent to either Doc. Dr. Arunas Streikus ([email protected]) or Dr. Darius Baronas ([email protected]). The deadline is 28 February 2013. The participants of the conference are kindly requested to bear in mind that the organizers will be looking forward to having the papers published as scholarly articles in a post-conference volume of “Studies in Church History = Bažnyčios istorijos studijos” (vol. 6).
